Stereohype!
Stereohype! is a Y2K and Internet culture inspired brand dedicated to asking the question if clothing should inform how we stereotype sexualities. Do the damaging labels serve to break communities? Or is the stereotype something that can bring people together?
This project was my final thesis for MTSU and included a website, merchandise (a super-soft hoodie, four custom designed stickers, an acrylic keychain with gold hardware, and take-away pony bead bracelet keychains with a keyring) a magnet board dress-up game, a CD case with an internal sleeve booklet talking about the project, blind box figurine packaging with a character booklet, and multiple hanging and wall signage.
All elements shown on the pedestal and around the exhibit were found and bought second-hand and were from the era of the early internet circa early 2000’s.
